Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Opportunity
Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:45AM We would like to announce an immediate first year fellowship opening at the pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) and the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). This opening is the result of unforeseen fellow circumstances and will begin July 7, 2011.
The pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at ACH has 4 full-time faculty, 2 part-time faculty, and a laboratory dedicated to the advancing our understanding and management of head and neck diseases in children. Since 1996, the fellowship has aimed to train pediatric otolaryngologists to be versatile in all surgical techniques and clinical challenges of the field. As a result, our fellows acquire knowledge and surgical experience with complex pediatric otologic disorders, sinus disease, facial plastics, airway anomalies and masses of the head and neck. This is complimented by a unique and vast surgical and multidisciplinary experience with cleft lip and palate disorders and vascular anomalies. Over 4000 cases are performed and over 10,000 clinic visits occur with our staff annually.
We welcome this year’s U.S. trained otolaryngology residency graduates interested a fellowship position to contact us directly by phone at 501-364-1047 or email (gtrichter@uams.edu, dhorn@uams.edu) as soon as possible. Applications from U.S. based foreign medical graduates with appropriate qualifications and references will also be considered.
Thank you very much!
