Pediatric ENT

Pediatric ENT Opportunity
Corpus Christi, TX

Driscoll Children’s Hospital is seeking applications for an additional board certified/board eligible Pediatric fellowship trained otolaryngologist to join our very busy clinical practice. The Pediatric ENT practice was established in 2013 and has experienced rapid growth.   The physician will be busy from day one and will see a variety of interesting cases including head and neck masses, insufficient airway cases, sinus cases as well as T&A’s and ear tubes.

Driscoll Children’s Hospital is a non-profit freestanding, 189 bed tertiary hospital providing care to children in the lower 31 counties of South Texas.  The population served is over 2 million and is one of the youngest and fastest growing in the United States with 25% of the population less than age 18.  The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric services including a 51 bed NICU, a 21 bed PICU and more than 40 pediatric subspecialists.  The hospital maintains a teaching affiliation with Texas A&M University Health Science Center and has its own 45 person pediatric residency.

Texas is a wonderful place to work, live, play and invest.  Tort reform has drastically reduced the number of lawsuits and the cost of malpractice insurance.  Texas is the second largest state by size and population and the second fastest growing state in the union.  Corpus Christi is a dynamic coastal city with miles of beautiful beaches, world-class hunting, fishing, sailing and windsurfing.  Our mild climate allows for year round outdoor family activities such as golf, cycling and tennis.  The cost of living is low and there is no state income tax.

Successful applicants will enjoy an excellent compensation package including coverage of all overhead expenses (including malpractice), medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as disability and life insurance and generous retirement plans.

In short, our division needs to grow to provide Pediatric ENT services for our rapidly growing population.  The combination of location, population growth, opportunity and compensation make this an excellent opportunity.
