The Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Physician Group are expanding to meet the needs of the growing Atlanta pediatric community. Through a collaborative arrangement between these two organizations, the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery serves as the primary providers of ENT services at Children’s Egleston hospital, and has a thriving outpatient practice adjacent to the hospital. The team is now recruiting a full-time, board-certified otolaryngologist as an assistant or associate professor of Pediatric Otolaryngology, with a commitment to our clinical, teaching and research missions.
The Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology is seeking candidates with expertise in a spectrum of head and neck, otolaryngology, rhinology and otology practice skills, including device implantation, cancer of the head and neck, fractures and trauma, sleep apnea and craniofacial disorders and abnormalities.
Children’s is the largest pediatric healthcare system in Georgia and one of the largest in the country, serving more than 1 million patients each year with 638 licensed beds, and providing more than 10,000 ENT procedures—ranging from ear tubes and tonsillectomies to cochlear implants. Children's has state-of-the-art facilities and technology, an electronic medical record, voice recognition software and access to more than 50 pediatric subspecialties. In addition to being recognized by U.S. News & World Report and Parents magazine as a top pediatric hospital, Children’s has been listed as one of Fortune magazine’s 100 best places to work for the past 8 years and Emory is routinely ranked high in research funding by the National Institutes of Health. Both Children’s and Emory support the ongoing professional and leadership development of physicians while maintaining a healthy balance between academics and clinical work and rewarding excellence and productivity in both. Research and teaching activities are supported with protected time and cultivated through strong relationships and affiliations with the other departments within the Emory School of Medicine, the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory, Georgia Institute of Technology and the Centers for Disease Control.
