  • At the February 2012 ACGME meeting, our program received approval to add a second accredited fellowship position. We will therefore be interviewing for 2 positions this spring, to matriculate July 1, 2013

  • Operative experience: Wide exposure to all areas of pediatric otolaryngology practice, from routine to complex procedures, including chronic ear surgery, cochlear implantation, airway management and reconstruction, head and neck, sinus surgery and cleft lip/palate
  • Research: Required, with dedicated time provided
  • Resident supervision: Yes – active, in OR, inpatient and outpatient settings (otolaryngology and pediatric residents, as well as medical students)
  • Caseload: Over 4,200 operative cases and over 14,000 clinic visits per year
  • Call responsibilities: One weeknight per week and one weekend per month as resident back-up; attending staff on call as well. Night/weekend call is from home.

  • Additional information: 7 full-time faculty members cover the breadth of pediatric otolaryngology with unique areas of clinical expertise, including airway, hearing loss, sinus, vascular malformation, sleep medicine, cleft lip/palate and cranio-facial surgery.
  • Prerequisites: At the time of matriculation, the candidate must have successfully completed an ACGME or RCPSC-accredited Otolaryngology residency program and passed Step 3 of the USMLE examination
