- Eligibility: Individuals must have completed an ACGME or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredited Otolaryngology residency and are eligible or certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. District of Columbia license is also required.
- Case Load: Otolaryngology department has over 10,500 patient encouters each year (includes outpatient and inpatient visits). Yearly 4,500 operative cases are performed.
- Specialty Clinics: Craniofacial, hearing impairment, cochlear implants, swallowing evaluation and voice clinics are offered in conjunction with other disciplines.
- Conferences/Didactics: Fellows participate in monthly journal club, twice monthly pediatric otolaryngology conferences, weekly grand rounds, monthly morbidity and mortality conferences and radiology/pathology conferences.
- Research Year: Clinical research is required with development of research project and submission of an IRB application. All fellows are required to complete Investigator 101 course. Guidance with grant application and developing bench research are available for those optingfor additional research year.
