Application Deadline: February 1     Starting Date: July 1     Duration of Fellowship: 1 year     University Affiliation: Medical University of South Carolina     Licensing Requirement: South Carolina Licensure Required     Appointment Level: Fellow and Instructor     Operating Privileges: Instructor level     Clinic Responsibilities: Weekly fellow clinic, instructing residents in general clinics     Operative Experience: Entire spectrum of pediatric otolaryngology.  Areas of emphasis include cleft lip and palate repair, open and endoscopic airway management, otologic surgery including cochlear implantation, head and neck surgery, facial plastic surgery and microtia repair, endoscopic sinus surgery, and other pediatric problems.     Research: Clinical, with optional additional year of research     Resident Supervision: Yes     Case Load: Over 2,500 operative cases and 7,000 clinic visits per year     Benefits: Medical, dental, liability, life and disability insurance     Additional Information: This fellowship encompasses all aspects of pediatric otolaryngology and incorporates complex cases from three pediatric otolaryngologists as well as faculty in the divisions of neurotology, facial plastics, rhinology, and head and neck surgery. The fellow will be expected to attend all major cases and participate in daily rounds, teaching sessions, weekly conferences, and research activities.  Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in an overseas trip focused on pediatric otolaryngology.     Application Procedure: Send letter of intent, universal ASPO fellowship application, CV, and 3 letters of recommendation to David R.
